Before opening his hip East Village restaurant, Casa Mono alum Ryan Lowder lived in Barcelona, where he cooked at the Michelin-starred El Racó d'en Freixa. At Mercat—which means “market” in Catalan—diners enjoy a menu built on the chef's deep respect for regional Spanish ingredients.
