A four-day celebration of two of America’s most enjoyable pastimes—fine dining and outstanding golf—in beautiful, historic Williamsburg, Virginia. Golfers will team with America’s finest chefs, and guests will enjoy exceptional meals, along with experiencing the renowned living history museum.

The Williamsburg Inn, the historic Providence Hall House, and the newly renovated Gold Course of Colonial Williamsburg’s Golden Horseshoe Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., “where the 19th hole is the 18th Century”.

The James Beard Foundation Celebrity Chef Golf Invitational will be played on the Gold Course of the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club, with a guest chef accompanying each foursome. Honorary Chairman, Chef Mario Batali; 30 guest chefs in total

Why:
To further the appreciation of the culinary arts as a part of our American historical tradition, and to raise funds for The James Beard Foundation House Preservation Fund. The 1844 landmark townhouse in New York’s Greenwich Village, residence of the late “dean of American cooking” serves as a forum and performance space for America’s culinary artists.


Prices:
GOLD GOLFER PACKAGE:
$1,500 per golfer
Includes Southern Hospitality Welcome Party, Golf Invitational Breakfast, golf in a foursome along with Celebrity Chef Golfer, Awards Luncheon, Sunday brunch*, and complimentary admission to Colonial Williamsburg sites*. As a supplement to the Golden Golfer package, participants may choose to attend any of the optional culinary events listed below at The James Beard Foundation member price.

* Please note, available only to guests staying at a Colonial Williamsburg property

$1,200 of the Gold Golfer Package can be taken as a tax-deductible charitable donation, benefiting The James Beard Foundation House Preservation Fund

$200 per person

Williamsburg Inn will host guests and 15 celebrity chefs under a large white tent on the lawn behind the Williamsburg Inn for a lavish reception featuring signature menu items from featured guest chefs and wines from Robert Mondavi Winery. Price: $95 per person for those not purchasing a Gold Golfer or Non-Golfer Package.
