Double-barreled opening. Frasca Hospitality Group (Mambo Grill, Club Creole, Kinzie Chop-house) opened two dining concepts under one roof on the site of the former Havana restaurant: Mio Mezzo, serving southern Italian food, and Kinzie Market, a gourmet store with prepared foods. Chef Joe Ostiguin heads both kitchens, and pastry chef Lisa Fleming oversees the on-site Pasticceria, which produces breads and pastries for all the group's restaurants Trocadero Bistro & Bar has launched a series of "Passport Dinners,'' featuring such destinations as Brussels and Munich. Stuart Cameron will prepare the multicourse meals, which are being served in the restaurant's private dining room William Eudy (ex-Grand Cafe, San Francisco) is now executive chef at Mossant, where he's turning out modern French bistro fare together with executive sous-chef Joshua Young (ex-Cafe Absinthe). . |
