  • Sundance kid. Trey Foshee is the new executive chef at La Jolla's George's at the Cove. Foshee, who was named by Food & Wine magazine as one of the top ten rising star chefs in the country, comes to La Jolla from Robert Redford's Sundance resort in Utah

  • Lila's has opened on Prospect Street in La Jolla. The upscale bistro is under the direction of executive chef Morgan Dancer (ex-Le Meridien)

  • Billie Cross, who helped develop the Great Chefs program at the Robert Mondavi Winery in Napa, has moved to Ensenada, Mexico, where he is conducting cooking classes at his oceanfront villa.
