  • Loud and proud. Jamie Barber and Geoffrey Moore, son of James Bond actor Roger Moore, have opened Hush on Lancashire Court behind Bond Street. In keeping with London's newest trend of at least two restaurants in one space, there is a brasserie on the ground floor and an elegant fine-dining restaurant on the first floor. The food, by Simon Barnett (ex-Harvey Nichols' Fifth Floor, Foundation), iscontemporary British with Mediterranean influences, the uniforms are designed by Donatella Versace, and the interior is by Fusion.

  • Fastest lunch in the Westminster. The Congress Club has opened in the heart of Westminster, offering contemporary cuisine by DanielMcDowell and one of the fastest express lunches in town: your first course is guaranteed to arrive within eight minutes of ordering, with a maximum of eight minutes between courses.

  • Four Seasons Hotel Canary Wharf has opened in the heart of the financial area. Its Quadrato restaurant is serving Northern Italian cuisine in a sleekmodern setting.

  • Twentyfour is a new restaurant and bar with spectacular views over the City of London in Tower 42 on Old Broad Street.

  • Julono has opened in Belsize Park, mixing Mediterranean and North African cuisine.
