• Openings. Openings. Openings. Yet another steakhouse is eying the D.C. market. Angelo's & Maxie's, a New York City-style steakhouse by Chart HouseEnterprises, plans to open in an 8,500-square-foot site at F Street, NW, near the MCICenter .

• Francis Naiman (Red Tomato) has opened Centro in Bethesda; Woody Tongrugs (ex-Jandara) plans to open Thai restaurant Thaiphoon this summer in the former Volare site at Dupont Circle; James Tan, former chef at Sushi-ko, plans to open Uni Sushi on P Street near Dupont Circle; Murasaki, a Japanese restaurant, is slated to open on 7th Street, NW, across from Coco Loco; and last but not least, DC Coast chef/owner Jeff Tunks and partners DavidWizenberg and Gus DiMillo are planning a new Asian venture, Ten Penh, at 10th and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. .
