Chicago

  • Miami north. The Sheraton Hotel has closed its restaurant and is replacing it with Shula's Steak House. Named for Don Shula, the former Miami Dolphins football coach, the steakhouse will be the second well-known Florida eatery coming to Chicago, joining the soon-to-be-opened Joe's Stone Crab of Miami Beach.

  • Paul LoDuca of the Italian restaurants Trattoria Parma and Vinci is now offering upscale Mexican food at his newest venture, Adobo Grill, in the former That Steak Joynt space on North Wells Avenue. LoDuca's chef, Scott Helm (ex-Rhumba), serves specialties such as guacamole prepared tableside, grilled duck breast in pumpkin seed mole, Veracruz-style snapper, and coconut tres leches cake.

  • Debra Sharpe (Feast, Con Fusion) has opened Tanzy in Old Town. Chef Sandy Beckett (ex-Yoshi's Cafe, Jimmy's Place) serves Dungeness crab-and-corn chowder, roasted lamb chops in garlic crust, and Granny Smith apple tart with rosemary ice cream, among other casual American dishes.
