• After 20 years, Karen Auria Shannon has sold Petitto's, practically a landmark on Connecticut Avenue. The new owners, Cecile Fortin, Fred Tarricarrare, and chef Oumar Sy (all ex-Bistrot Lepic in Georgetown), plan to open Petits Plats.

• Ahmad Ashrafi (India Gate in Adams Morgan) has purchased City Blues Cafe in Woodley Park and plans to open a Mediterranean restaurant.

• Eve Zibart's "Fare Minded" restaurant review column debuted in The Washington Post "Weekend" section in March. Phyllis Richman's final column will appear this month.
