  • Longtime San Diego chef Tim Sullivan has left Chesapeake and moved up the coast to Belle Fleur.

  • Sami Ladeki's newest downtown venture, Tamarindo, has named Jim Phillips executive chef. Phillips was formerly chef at the University Club and the Sky Room at the La Valencia in La Jolla.

  • Jacques Cornelius, longtime food and beverage director at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, is moving north to become chef of Napa Valley's L'Auberge du Soleil.

  • Josh Thomsen had a brief stay at La Jolla's Trattoria Aqua. Former sous-chef Damaso Lee has been named chef. .
